The mission of the African Kings and Queens is to dance and sponsor various activities to exhibit and promote pride in the African/African-American culture to the students of Sullivan High School. We promote world peace by showing respect for all cultures. We strive to create a positive experience for Sullivan by expressing ourselves through dance and we encourage all students to find some form of expression! The African-American Kings and Queens are from many countries including: Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Sudan, Togo, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and many more! They learn many different types of dances from several African cultures. We welcome everyone, regardless of race, color, or creed!
