Academic Decathlon

Congratulations Team Sullivan!

On Saturday, January 30, 2010, Sullivan's Academic Decathlon Team competed in Round 1 held at Chicago Vocational Career Academy.  Team members included Aleah Clay, Miriam Coronel, Lauren Graham, Destiny Hightower, Gabriel Jackson and Karen Mejia.  Each contestant was tested in the areas of Art, Economics, Language & Literature, Math, Music, Science and a specialty topic, Super Quiz, which focused on this year's theme, The French Revolution.  The Awards Ceremony capped off the day long event with these results: Gabby Jackson, Math Medal; Destiny Hightower, Math, Science, and Art medals; Karen Mejia, Math Medal; Aleah Clay, Super Quiz, Highest Team Scorer Medal.  Special thanks to Ms. Fleiner, Ms. Hightower, Ms. Prince, Mr. Goetschel and Mr. Velazquez for their support!
