Grade Requirements
Credits needed for promotion to the next grade are based on the total credits earned at the end of the school year.
Status Credits Needed
Freshmen to Sophomore 5.0 (including requirements)
Sophomore to Junior 11.0 (plus reading and other requirements)
Junior to Senior 17.0 (including certain classes)
Graduation 24.0 (including all requirements)
Students must pass 3 to 4 core courses to progress to the next grade. If, for whatever reason, the student fails a core course, it is the STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY to earn those credits on his/her own time at his/her own expense. Students in need of summer school are to see their counselor for acceptable sites.
PLEASE NOTE: Students enrolled in the Paideia Program and the Medical Career Academy must meet additional requirements.
Students will receive both Progress Reports and Report Cards during the school year. Progress Reports are issued once each quarter to provide parents insight into students' progress. Report Cards are issued four times a year during the months of November, February, April, and June. A report card is an official record of your progress in all classes for a given term. January and June mark the end of the semesters, and it is at this time that credit is awarded in all classes that have been successfully completed.
